Company History
Barloworld Handling can trace its roots back to 1943 when a small distribution business opened its doors in Charlotte, North Carolina. The business grew rapidly when the company was awarded a Hyster lift truck franchise in 1949. Over 55 years later, the dealership has expanded to all or parts of 11 southeastern states in the United States, maintaining operations in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland as well as portions of Europe. As a result, Barloworld Handling is the largest independent Hyster lift truck dealer in the United States and in the world.
